Professor Oleksandr Petrovskyy, Founder and CEO at DEPROIL ltd., has over 20 years of leadership and management experience in numerous projects of hydrocarbon prospecting in Ukraine and across the world, including joint projects with international companies such as Chevron, Shell and Gazprom.
Prof. Petrovskyy is an author of a unique mathematical theory and the underlying technology for the construction of geologically consistent subsurface models of density for oil and gas exploration based on 3D gravity data. The technology successfully forecasts gas and oil-bearing reservoirs depth, shape, reserves, as well as initial production rates.
Prof. Petrovskyy holds a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Degree from the Institute of Geophysics of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine.
Prof. Petrovskyy was the Head of Exploration Geophysics department at Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (2008-2015), the Head of Expert Committee in Geography, Geology and Geophysics at the Department for Accreditation at Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2014-2018).
In 2012, Prof. Petrovskyy coordinated seminars of the US operator and the US ambassador to Ukraine John F. Tefft with local authorities regarding shale gas production in Ukraine.
Prof. Petrovskyy is a Head of the Ukrainian Oil and Gas Academy since 2018.
Prof. Petrovskyy is a member of the international professional societies EAGE, SEG, AAPG. He has been recognised with the Honorary Explorer of Ukraine award.
Prof. Petrovskyy is an author of more than 150 scientific publications.
